Shukokai Karate Federation

Shaw Karate club is part of the Shukokai Karate Federation (SKF) which is the only Shukokai organisation in the UK affiliated to Kimura Shukokai International.

Kimura Shukokai International, was formed in 1995, after the untimely death of Soke Shigeru Kimura 10th Dan.

All of the Chief Instructors were training with Master Kimura for many years prior to Master Kimura passing.

Kimura Shukokai International today is headed by the late Master Kimura's four most  Senior students, Shihan Eddie Daniels 8th Dan from Great Britain, Shihan Bill Bressaw 8th Dan from U.S.A, Shihan Chris Thompson 8th Dan and Shihan Lionel Marinus 8th Dan both from South Africa.

All four Shihan's, trained with Master Kimura for at least 25 years, and continue to teach and develop Master Kimura's unique technique.

The KSI is the official World Governing body for Kimura Shukokai Karate.

Today Kimura Shukokai International is continuing to grow, and spread its wings to many different countries around the world including Europe, North America, Africa & Asia. KSI today is one of the biggest single style organisation around the world.

The SKF is also affiliated to the English Karate Federation who are the official governing body for Karate in England recognised by the British Karate Federation (BKF), European Karate Federation (EKF) & World Karate Federation (WKF).  WKF are the official karate organisation recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
