Prepare to take it more than once
Letters of Recommendation
**The request for a recommendation should be made around 2 months before the deadline and never less than 1 month.** When you email the faculty member for a reference, copy the email to the graduate student with whom you worked (i.e. CC me in the email). Also, remember to reference me in the email so that the faculty member knows that you worked with me.
