When & where does SR6 HOA snow plowing & shoveling occur?
SR6 uses a 2" minimum threshold for sidewalk snow removal & 4" minimum for street plowing. Before any snow removal services occur, our contractor takes measurements in order to determine the service/rate for each snow event.
No contracted service will occur if the snow measurements are below the established minimum thresholds.
Due to the fact that some SR6 homes have sidewalk frontage while others don't, the HOA (as a courtesy) contracts for snow removal of the sidewalk along Lehigh Ave, as well as the fire lane between Galena & Tincup, and other interior sidewalk areas.
Even though we contract for such services, it ultimately remains your responsibility to clear any sidewalk(s) adjacent to your property. This is especially true if wind and/or additional snow totals occur after the sidewalks have been cleared.
