How to find us.

Shallow Grange is located 3 miles south of Buxton, just off the A515

By Car - Don't rely on your Sat Nav. Use the directions below:

Our postcode has changed. It is now SK17 9FW. Older Sat Navs may still use SK17 9SG.

From Buxton: Follow signs for the A515 southbound, signposted Ashbourne. At Brierlow Bar, turn left onto the A5270 (Old Coalpit Lane). Look out for our sign on the left, after 500m.

From Chesterfield/Bakewell: Approximately ½ mile after the dual carriageway section of the A6 around Taddington, turn left onto the A5270. This is clearly signed. Follow the A5270 for around 1 mile. Ignore the turnings for Chelmorton on the left & continue on A5270. You will see Shallow Grange on the right hand side after the S bend.

If you tap our postcode into your satnav to find us, you may well find you get taken to Chelmorton village. Because this is a rural area, the postcode covers a large area. Try to locate us manually on your satnav's map, or use your sense of direction! How did you manage before these things?

By Public Transport

Trains run hourly to Buxton railway station, with connections to main line services at Stockport and Manchester. Taxis are available outside the station. For a timetable, visit the National Rail website

Buses are few & far between. Services include the TP (Transpeak) from Manchester to Derby, and the 193 from Buxton to Tideswell. Sometimes they will drop you off at the farm gates. For timetables, visit the Traveline website or Derby Bus website & type in Brierlow Bar.
