Relax at Shallow Grange on our quiet family run site while reducing your carbon footprint.
Our site has lovely views across the Derbyshire Dales and we are within easy reach of many great walks, some straight off the farm.
We have a flat, well drained field for tourers and tents. Electrical hookups, supplied with renewable energy, are available and it is advisable to book these in advance.
We offer modern, well equipped and environmentally efficient shower and toilet facilities.
We have free WIFI.
We have 2 EV charging points which use 100% renewable electricity for visitors with electric vehicles.
BBQ's are allowed as long as they are raised above the grass. We also have fire baskets for hire & bags of wood, sourced from the farm, for sale.
There is a freezer available for freezer blocks, washing-up & laundry facilities, & disabled facilities
Large rowdy groups, stag and hen parties and noisy drinking sessions are not welcome at Shallow Grange. We do not accept more than 2 pitches together.
We do not allow music to be played on the site & expect quiet after 10pm.
In order to maintain the site in a safe and good condition, we may ask you to park your car separately and away from tents and pitches when the ground is wet.
We are committed to environmentally sensitive farming & are part of Natural England's Environmental Stewardship Scheme which encourages biodiversity so there is an expectation on everyone visiting the farm to behave respectfully towards the local environment.
Shower Block.
You don't have to compromise on comfort when you go green.
Our shower block offers:-
- Hot water heated by solar panels on the roof, saving lots of Co2 emissions every year
- Low energy LED lighting, making savings of up to 90% of running costs.
- Low flush toilets (less than half the water of a standard loo)
- Under floor heating, using stored solar energy
- A heat recovery ventilation system, re-using 70% of waste heat
- A high efficiency boiler system as a backup
- Dyson airblade dryers
- Rain water harvesting system to flush the toilets.
We have 60KW of PV solar panels which will supply you with green electricity for on site use.
