New Year Musaph

The individual files on this page were not available when the site was originally created. The single long file was kindly divided into individual files by a user of this site: Mr Simon Tabbush, in November 2022. Unlike the original files, these files are hosted online by Rabbi Jonathan Cohen, and are not saved with rest of the site.

"Hayom Harat Olam" is sung (following the blowing of the shofar, three times during the repetition. Each time it is sung to a different melody "borrowed" from elsewhere in the service. Hazzan Benarroch recorded all three using the second of the three tunes. When this was pointed out to him he said he had simply forgotten this detail at the time of the recording. Below are his recording, and a recording of the correct version for this juncture by Rabbi Jonathan Cohen.
