This goes along with our Seuss lesson where we read Seuss' first book, "And to Think That I Saw it on Mulberry Street". We then thought of our own outlandish creatures or things we might say we saw on the street in front of our school.

Caldecott!

Students in grades K-5 discovered the world of Caldecott! The Caldecott award is an annual book award given to books with superior illustrations. We enjoyed exploring the titles and watching the illustrators carry out their award-winning techniques. Students then became illustrators utilizing various media for a chance to win their own award! Paws and Read a Book!

We had an amazing Spring Book Fair! It was a dog and cat themed fair and many students and teachers turned in pictures of their adorable furry friends seen here!
