With more than 10,000 books in our physical library and ebooks and audiobooks available through SORA and ABDO, there's never been a better time to read!
OVERDRIVE IS HERE! Students can download the SORA app from Zulu Desk on their iPads or parents can download the app on their iPhone or tablets. Listen to audiobooks on a road trip or at home or read ebooks on your device. We have a collection of district shared resources as well as SES specific books, like, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Mary Poppins.
What's the best gift in May? A FREE Six Flags ticket! If your student would like to receive a free ticket they must read a total of 6 hours of recreational reading- not assignment reading- and track it on the Six Flags Read To Succeed Log you can find here. Additional printed logs are available in the Media Center. Each log entry must be initialed by an adult.
Ask our 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th Graders about Shanda McCloskey! Then read what Shanda said about us! We have 4 copies of her book available for checkout or placing on hold in the library since her visit! Click on OPAC above to check availability. Click on the image at left to see a short video highlighting her visit!
The Sonoraville School Library Media Program works to create a 21st century environment that promotes learning for all students by providing access to information, teaching digital citizenship, and encouraging lifelong learning. The library media center strives to be a learning commons for collaborative learning where students can create and grow in their appreciation of literature, and develop critical thinking skills.
The mission of the Sonoraville School Library is to provide students with the opportunity to become responsible lifelong users of information, as well as creators of information. The library will support the curriculum through collaborations with teachers, develop a collection of material and resources to meet student and teacher needs, and implement literacy instruction for students.
