When books are lost or damaged students/parents/guardians need to let me know right away so I can help you! Sometimes a book can be fixed with tape or glue. If a book is overdue from the year before or longer or considered lost, we ask that the borrower pay to replace it before resuming checkout. If a book is returned damaged and unable to be fixed and re-circulated, replacement cost must be paid before further checkout. Beginning October 2019, we are updating our system to reflect a $10 charge for fiction titles and $15 for non-fiction. The vendor whom we order our hardback books through also processes them with book jackets, barcodes, and spine labels. The cost is more than what we charge to replace them. The hope is that we can achieve replacement in a timely manner with a below cost price to the borrower. Thank you for understanding that we cannot accept paperbacks from Amazon as they are not durable and do not come processed.
