In this analysis, the power of an SEM model to detect a misspecification of .3 in one loading for an oblique solution is investigated.
The program is given in Loelin2.10.inp and the output is given in Loehlin2.10.out.
In a second analysis, power is investigated for an SEM model in which the misspecification is only .1.
As before, the program is given in Loehlin2.10b.inp and the relevant output is given in loehlin2.10b.out.
The rationale for the analysis is pretty straightforward and, a much fuller explication of the approach can be found in: Muthén, L.K. and Muthén, B.O. (2002). How to use a Monte Carlo study to decide on sample size and determine power. Structural Equation Modeling, 4, 599-620.
