Elias Pigg (aka Paul Gorgon)

Paul Gorgon is a man of modest origins. He rose through the ranks inside civilian run Siridon Arms Shipping from a basic cargoman all the way to captain over the course of 25 years. Most of his runs were through contested space near the Klingon Empire. He took command of the SS Seiklon Axel while it was still aligned with Siridon Arms, but when the crew was accused of stealing valuable experimental property, he decided to take the ship and flee to the Delta Quadrant in order to save everyone from being hunted down and imprisoned.

Eventually, he tied his fortunes to the freight trade around the planet Setlin.

He's known for his ability to turn a very bad situation into a survivable one through a balanced blend of instinct, experience, and luck.

His achilles flaw is that he's naive. He expects people to be what they say they are and when they turn out to be something else entirely, he's frequently caught off-guard. That came to tragic consequences when he failed to realize that his new backer Zarthizadek Griffen (CEO, Griffen Drive Systems) was a very unpopular man on Setlin. He was taken, tortured, and pumped for information on Zar Griffen, resulting in the loss of his left arm and the loss of use in his left eye. Upon being rescued from the stronghold of the Arvonian Syndicate he underwent surgery to replace his arm and receive an optic implant.

Now, as a reinvented man, he has vowed to take revenge on those who have caused him so much pain. He's also decided that FROM NOW ON the Seiklon Axel will fend for itself rather than allow outside agents to control it.
