History:
Gavin was born an only child in the ancient city of Moscow to a soon to be deceased Father, killed in a freak transporter accident, and an alcoholic mother. Spending most of his life on the streets of Moscow rather than at home trying to take care of his mother who would rather nurse a bottle of Romulan ale than her son, he developed a keen set of street skills and a reputation for violence from an early age. It was when Gavin was sent away to a boarding school on Andor funded by the Federation government after Gavin was orphaned when his mother died of alcohol poisoning.
Gavin raked up a healthy number of merits in mathematics, and various physically oriented classes which mirrored the number of demerits he earned for breaking rules and fighting. Upon reaching the age of sixteen Gavin was no longer required to attend school and so he voluntarily left to take to the streets again but soon found himself in jail for murder. It was here that Gavin was given a real chance at making a life for himself when he was recruited into a Mercenary organization and taken away without having to appear in court by use of under the table dealings.
As a soldier Gavin's hand to hand skills, marksmanship, and ground tactics were improved upon. Later he was taught how to fly crafts ranging from small fighter style ships all the way up to scout-type starships. Gavin didn't hesitate in taking any job offered to him no matter how dangerous and so earned a large wealth as well as a hefty reputation. Just ten years later he struck out on his own to run a solo operation he called "Darkblade Inc". For the last three years he has further built his reputation for taking on wildly dangerous contracts and being more ruthless than the most feared Klingon warlord.
As a fault Gavin takes to the bottle much as his mother did although perhaps not as heavily. He also tends to be quite gruff, speaking his mind without a filter and tends to lean more towards solving problems with violence than with diplomacy.
