Pizza Hut Book It!

This year we will be participating in the Pizza Hut Book It! program.  It officially begins October 1 and runs through March 31.  Here are the guidelines:

1.   Your child will need to read or be read to 10 minutes every night or the equivalent of 70 minutes a week. 

2.   Your child will need to complete the reading log provided for him/her by his/her teacher and turn it in by the last day of every month signed by an adult/parent.

3.   For every log that is completed and turned in by each monthly deadline, your student will earn a Pizza Hut personal pan pizza coupon.

4.   If your child has completed this reading goal 5 of the 6 months, he/she will participate in the end of the year  celebration.  (party details ie day, time, place TBA)

****ALL READING LOGS MUST BE COMPLETELY FILLED OUT, SIGNED, AND TURNED IN AT THE END OF EACH MONTH TO QUALIFY FOR THE END OF THE YEAR PARTY!!****

In addition, completed reading logs are 5% of the second grade reading grade.

As a way to get us started, we will do a practice month during September.  Everyone who reads 300 minutes for the entire month—10 minutes each night—will earn an extra recess!  (Those who don’t will spend time in another classroom reading while we play and celebrate reaching our September reading goal.)
