Please DO NOT work in personal plots of other gardeners without permission. The Community Garden has designated plots for individuals that are contracted on an annual basis.
We host monthly work days at the garden to work on general maintenance and upkeep around the garden. You can find more details about this schedule on our Garden Calendar.
If you can't make a workday, there are still many ways to help.
Weeding along the paths and sidewalk helps keep the Bermuda grass from spreading.
The compost is always in need of churning and in the hotter and dryer months we need to water it to keep the microbes active.
Reach out to the leaders of the Pollinator Plots for details on the work that needs to be completed for these plots.
Trash and debris removal is a constant need at the garden. If you have the means to pick up and remove trash, that's a big help. If you are moving debris or rubbage, make sure you're putting it the official areas that we've designated.
