Arizona Aircraft Museums and Storage
Pima Air and Space Museum
Located in Tucson near Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, this museum has much to offer in terms of aircraft history. Tours of the boneyard at Davis-Montham are also available. A must see for aviation enthusiasts.
Arizona Division Confederate Air Force
Located in Mesa at Falcon Field, this museum features a wide variety of restored military aircraft, including an airworthy B-17.
Pinal Airpark Airport
Located in Marana between Phoenix and Tucson, this is a large storage facility for commercial aircraft. Stored aircraft range from scrap to new planes being temporarily mothballed. Good side trip if headed to Tucson.
Planes of Fame
Located in Valle, AZ between Williams and the Grand Canyon, this museums has over 40 historical aircraft on display.
