A new, clear, and intuitive Tracking Report

Since the launch of our tracking feature in Yet Another Mail Merge, we have implemented many new options based on users' requests. Today, our tracking tool is used by 70% of our users to monitor email campaigns.

And today, we are adding even more information in the tracking report:

In this new sidebar, you will get a short description for each available metric. And you can click on them to get more information (+ a 'learn more' link to our documentation) and display each campaign stat (open rate, click-through rate, bounce rate).

What can you do from the report?

You could already check useful campaign stats:

You can also use the follow-up option to resend your emails, for example to people who missed your first campaign and did not open it.

And we are excited to announce bounce tracking, as requested on our feature requests page:

From now on, every time you enable tracking, YAMM will notify you when your emails bounce back to your inbox.

This new metric lets you get even more precise information on your campaigns success: While open rate is influenced by the attractiveness of your subject line, and click-through rate by the quality of your call-to-action buttons / links from your emails, bounce rate is directly impacted by the accuracy of your database.

Therefore, a high bounce rate is a good indicator of a bad database (stale and outdated). Thanks to this information, you know that you first need to clean your contact list before sending your future campaigns, to increase your open rate and CTR.

Consult our documentation on bounce tracking to learn more about this feature.

Note: If you keep receiving an increasing amount of bounced messages in your Gmail inbox, at some point Google will block your account, and your emails will not be sent out. YAMM notifies you with the mention 'EMAIL_NOT_SENT' on your spreadsheet. To avoid this situation, please read carefully this article about bounces due to sending limit.
