---2--- Engineering, Nanotechnology, Computer Technology, Modelling.
Topic 1 outlined the importance of physics. Indeed, the application of multidisciplinary research involving physics, has yielded revolutionary products in the field of engineering and computing. Miniature mobile technology, is now ubiquitous. Each unit can communicate in a fraction of a second, with another unit at the other end of the world. In addition to its universality, this technology is becoming more closely merged with humans (eg. implanted chips, bionic devices, etc). In fact, the merging of humans and machines, or nature and artificial products, are a direct result of applied interdisciplinary science at work.
