French Research Day 2018 - J·FR 2018

Wednesday, December 12th 2018

Maison Franco-Japonaise, Ebisu, Tokyo

Call for Communications (presentation/posters)

Since 1997, Sciencescope, with the support of institutional partners including the Maison Franco-Japonaise de Tokyo (MFJ), the Embassy of France in Japan, Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), the Chamber of commerce and Industry (CCIFJ), as well as Alumni associations as ABSCIF and ABC, is organizing yearly the French Research Day (JFR) in Japan.

JFR'18 is gathering french-speaking researchers and students in Japan from all disciplines and citizenships in order to enforce discussions among this research community. This one-day event will take place on Wednesday, December 12th 2018, at the Maison Franco-Japonaise in Tokyo, with several scientific presentations, posters sessions, professional round-table and an invited talk.

Three types of contributions are proposed:

-presentations (about 20min of talk including questions)

-posters (A0 size, portrait)

-flash-talks (short presentations, 5min)

The Organizing Committee will therefore select the contributions to be presented as presentations or posters according to research topics. J·FR 2018 could also propose flash talks for some presentation proposals, depending on topics and progress of work (preliminary research work, etc.). An initial choice could therefore be changed from a presentation to a poster or flash-talk, but not the opposite.

From this year, we also offer to interested authors to publish an extended version of their contributions on the Sciencescope website (20,000 signs max including bibliography).

The main language of the event is French, but English presentations are possible for non native French speakers, and written material (slides, posters, contributions, etc.) can be in English as well. However, given the nature of the event, a basic understanding of French may be easier to fully benefit from all discussions (but not mandatory).

Attendance is free and open to all, but registration is mandatory for planning purposes. Registration includes the JFR booklet, lunch and evening cocktail at MFJ.

You can already register online and submit your contribution until Wednesday, November 1st 2018

It is still possible to register as an attendee until December 03rd 2018
