We've created a few greeting cards with science-related themes to help you (and your friends) stay aware of the properties of the universe you're immersed in. We will add more materials as our resources allow. Suggestions and materials to include are welcome.
Looking for a holiday card that helps spread awareness of the wonderful universe we live in? Here are a couple of ideas, which you can download and print out. The text of each card is copied below. Click on the appropriate link to get the complete card, as an image you can print and copy. When folded, the cards are 4 1/4" by 5 1/2" and fit into "invitation size" envelopes, available at office supply stores.
Starlight: "When you glance at an average star in the night sky, the light that you see has been traveling for a hundred years, hurtling through space at 186,000 miles per second, until one magical night, it ends its journey,...by lighting up your eyes. May your holiday season be filled with wonder."
Peace on Earth: "There are about 400 billion stars in our galaxy and over a billion galaxies in the visible universe. We have found life on one planet, orbiting one star. May there be peace on earth this holiday season."
