2014 Camp Evaluations

I had the campers do an evaluation each Thursday afternoon or evening of the camp. Those results are given in the table below. For each question, campers were given 5 options: SA-Strongly Agree with the statement, A-agree with the statement, N-Neutral, D-Disagree, SD-Strongly Disagree with the statement. You can see in the graph below how many of each response were received (so on question 1, 42 answered Strongly Agree, 27 answered Agree, and 7 were Neutral. There were no Disagree or Strongly Disagree responses on question 1)

As of September 9, I have 17 parent evaluations returned (so am assuming the others didn't have negative comments they wanted me to know about or I will be receiving additional parent evaluations). Parents were also given the 5 options of Strongly Agree (SA) to Strongly Disagree (SD) as the campers were.

It would be helpful if lights out and reasonable bedtimes would be encouraged and monitored a bit more. Some girls stayed up (mine was one of them, so sorry!) until the wee hours of the morning, greatly reducing the educational benefit of the camp. Thank you!

13. What should I be sure to do the same in future years?

The pool, scatterball, and capture the flag

I liked the awards program better (director comment-not sure if this was for week 3 when the awards program was considerably different or not).

enjoyed seeing what went on at camp during the week with posted pictures and with end program.

The different methods of doing math problems.

11. Do you have any suggestions for other activities?

Wiffle ball and doodle time/art time. Also a math party (a nerd one), party where kids dress up as the "theme".

Different physical activities that everyone can take part in.

They absolutely love the camp every year! Thank you for your investment and commitment-what a huge gift from you and your family!!

12. Do you have any suggestions for improvements in the camp?

Stretch time every 30 minutes

New materials!!

No improvements needed.

Learn new math, less review

I know it didn't work out, but I preferred two times in the gym and two time swimming to three time swimming.

html and java script. Actual programming 1-2 days

Everything was great.
