Believed to be the tomb of one of the cherished courtiers of Akbar, the Moghul King, Ghizhali Mash-hadi, was a well-known poet of his times. It is tucked away from immediate public view, since it is situated beside the Queen's palace. The Tomb is open to sky and is devoidof any ornamentation or any sign of royalty; though the positioning of the tomb is very interesting. It is in direct view of the Saint's tomb on the west facing banks of the lake.
Ghizhali Mash-hadi was a courtier of Emperor Akbar and one of the most renowned poets of his times. He died while on one of the conquests of Ahmedabad of the Mughal army and was thus buried in the precincts of Sarkhej. Qasim Arsalan was also a well-known Persian poet, chronogram writer, and calligrapher. He wrote Persian chronograms at the time of the deaths of Akbar’s chief-of-army—Behram Khan—and Ghizhali Mash-hadi, who died in 1572.
