Brief Bio

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. I received my PhD from the same department in 2013. I was a Humboldt Post-doctoral research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems, Germany during 2014-15. I have also been an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, India. My broad research interests are in Information Retrieval, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Social network and social media analysis, Legal Data Mining, and Healthcare analytics.

Note about internships: The Department of CSE, IIT Kharagpur has a summer internship program - you can apply here if you are interested. There is no scope for winter internship at IITKGP. I personally do not offer internships at IITKGP. Apologies for not being able to personally reply to the numerous emails about internships.
