Resources for Incoming Leaders
Thank you for volunteering to be an adult leader in Pack 419! There are training and clearances to be completed before you begin serving in the Pack.
Youth Protection Training (known as YPT): Youth Protection Training is an online course and test that takes 1-2 hours. YPT is renewed every two years. It's broken into segments, so you can do it in more than one session. Instructions for completing YPT can be found here.
LiveScan Fingerprinting and California Mandated Reporter Training. Read about the steps to complete the training.
California Mandated Reporter Training is an online course which takes about 2 hours.
Once completed, you upload your training certificate to the SVMBC portal (link here)
Live Scan Fingerprinting. Print out the form linked here. Take it to a Live Scan location (such as the UPS store at El Camino and Henderson). Cost of Live Scan may be up to $60. The pack can reimburse you for this expense upon completion. If you want reimbursement, email a copy of your receipt to pack0419@gmail.com.
Apply to the pack as an adult. Same link as the youth application, but for yourself. This costs about $80. Again, we can reimburse you for this expense if submit your receipt. Link here.
