We are a parent run pack which meets in Laurelwood Elementary School, Santa Clara, with a proud history dating back over fifty years!
We welcome girls & boys from all local schools and neighborhoods, across Sunnyvale and Santa Clara.
Through the cub scouting program, children will discover and master new skills, gain self-confidence, and develop strong friendships. Cub Scouting doesn't emphasize winning as an end result, but rather the far more demanding task of doing one's best. We nurture courage and kindness, build character and leadership skills and give children the opportunity to serve their communities whilst all the time having fun with their friends and families.
Our pack runs many excellent activities throughout the year including Bottle Rocket launching (August), two weekend family camp-outs (usually September & April), community service events (throughout the year) and of course, Pinewood Derby car racing (January)
Cub scouts earn badges with their dens throughout the year covering a variety of outdoor, personal development, community and special interest skills. A den is typically 6-8 cubs who are the same gender and grade level. They meet 1-3 times a month, and the meeting schedule is set by the den leaders (who are typically parents of children in the den).
The Cub scout 'Pack' comprises all the families of pack 419 (all the dens together). Our pack meets once a month, typically on a Friday where we have our larger events, flag ceremonies and awards.
