Most holy St. Anthony, Beloved Friend of Jesus, I place myself in your heavenly care. Be with me, especially in life's troubles and difficulties. Intercede before the Lord for me, so that I may confidently know I do not face my problem alone.

Daily Prayer to St. Anthony

I salute you great St. Anthony and rejoice at the favors which our Lord has so liberally bestowed on you. I remind you especially of that blessed moment when the Divine Infant Jesus condescended to embrace and fondly caress you. Oh, what great happiness and joy must have filled your heart on that occasion! By this special prerogative and by the joy of your beatific vision, by which you now behold him face to face, I beg, entreat, and conjure you, O dear St. Anthony, to help me in my afflictions, troubles, and anxieties, particularly concerning (here mention your troubles and desire.) Oh, let your heart be moved to intercede for me, to hear and answer me. Tell our Lord of the wants and necessities of your devoted client. One word, one sigh from your heart, which Jesus loved so much, will crown my success and fill me with joy and gratitude. Amen.

O blessed St. Anthony, I dedicate myself to your honor and give myself to you, that you may always by my protector and my guide in the way of salvation. Obtain for me a great purity of heart and a sincere love of God and my neighbor. After your example, may I do all my actions for the greater glory of God, in union with the Divine Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. St Anthony, pray for me, that I may enjoy the grace of a happy death. AMEN.

O Holy St. Anthony, be our protector and defender. Ask God to surround us with the Holy Angels, so that we may emerge from every danger in the fullness of health and well being. Guide our life journey, so we will always walk safely together with you, in God's friendship.

Glorious St. Anthony, you were blessed to hold the Infant Jesus in your arms. O wonderful St Anthony, glorious on account of the fame of your miracles, and through the condescension of Jesus in coming in the form of a little Child to repose in your arms, obtain for me of His bounty the grace which I ardently desire from the depths of my heart. You, who were so compassionate towards miserable sinners, regard not the unworthiness of those who pray to you but the glory of God, that it may be once again magnified by you to the salvation of my soul, in connection with the particular request of which I now ask with persevering earnestness. May the offering of alms, which I make to you in aid of the poor, be a pledge of my gratitude, and with them may it be one day granted to me, through the grace of Jesus Christ and your intercession, to possess the kingdom of heaven. Help us have a true and solid devotion to you, and imitate your life and work for God and souls. Hold before us the Book of books, Holy Scripture, the source of your wisdom. Be sure us a teacher of the ways of God and the gospel of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Put into our hearts the flame of love, the fire of divine charity, that we may love our merciful Father in heaven; that the King of kings, as you said, may reign in our hearts and purify them of all evil; that we may love our neighbor, that is, everyone, as you taught.

May the lily of your chastity, your spirit of prayer, make us faithful to the vows of our Baptism, to the marriage or religious life. Be to our day also an apostle and teacher that we may live with you the gospel of Christ and grow with you in Him. Holy teacher of the gospel, pray that the spirit of the gospel may reach all people of all nations, beginning with us. Pray that the spirit of Christian love and unity may fill the people of God, and bring all his children together again as one flock with one Shepherd. Amen.

Good Saint Anthony, in God’s providence you have secured for His people many marvelous favors. You have been especially celebrated, good Saint Anthony, for your goodness to the poor and the hungry, for finding employment for those seeking it, for your special care of those who travel, and for keeping safe from harm all who must be away from home. You are widely known also, good Saint Anthony, for securing peace in the family, for your delicate mercy in finding lost things, for safe delivery of messages, and for your concern for women in childbirth. In honoring you, Saint Anthony, for the many graces our Lord grants through your favor, we trustfully and confidently ask your aid in our present need. May it be a source of joy, O God, to your Church that we honor the memory of your Confessor and Doctor, Saint Anthony. May his spiritual help always make us strong, and by his assistance may we enjoy an eternal reward. This we ask through Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord. Amen.
