Catalyst Design

Our research group focuses on theoretical catalyst material design through multiscale computational chemistry simulations. We provide theoretical guidelines from quantum chemical and dynamical perspectives, laying the groundwork for exploring new, high-efficiency, low-cost catalyst materials.

우리 연구 그룹에서는 멀티 스케일의 계산화학 시뮬레이션을 통해 새로운 촉매를 이론적으로 설계하는 연구를 하고 있습니다. 양자화학적, 동역학적 관점의 이론적 가이드 라인을 제시하며, 고효율, 저비용의 새로운 촉매 소재 탐구에 대한 기틀을 마련합니다.

In particular, we aim to address today's environmental challenges by concentrating on sustainable renewable energy generation and storage. We utilize quantum computation-based computational screening to propose novel heterogeneous catalysts and elucidate reaction mechanisms through molecular dynamics simulations and quantum calculations at interfaces. This highlights the necessity of computational science approaches in fostering innovative catalyst material development.

특히 오늘날 환경문제 해결을 위해 지속가능한 신재생에너지의 생성 과 저장 등에 집중하여 계산과학이 선도하는 소재개발을 지향하고 있습니다. 예를 들어 양자계산 기반 전산 스크리닝을 통해 새로운 이성분계 촉매를 제안하고, 계면에서의 분자동역학 시뮬레이션과 양자계산을 통해 반응 메커니즘을 규명하며 계산과학적 접근의 필요성을 제시합니다.
