This Portfolio assessment tool covers all four categories of knowledge and skills (Knowledge, Thinking, Communication, and Application). In each of the four categories, students Performance will be ranked from Level 1 to Level 4 (Level 1 is Beginning and Level 4 is Proficient). When students collaborate with teachers, by creating their own rubrics, it helps students define what they think is important to consider when evaluating their work. In this case, the purpose of this rubric is to evaluate whether proper connections were made between the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations, and the OCT Standards of Practice. This rubric also assess whether the student was able to connect specific assignments to proper Ontario Catholic Graduate expectations. The comment section in the rubric is designed to celebrate what the student has successfully achieved.
