We are so pleased to offer the first product in our new Carapace line of protection parts for the venerable Yamaha WR250R/X! 

Introducing the Carapace Stator Guard (CSG)!

What is it? It's a new take on full coverage protection for your vulnerable Stator Cover. This precision engineered and manufactured guard is made from vacuum formed 2mm High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) plastic. HDPE is known for its high strength-to-density ratio, amazing chemical resistance, and abrasion resistance. When vacuum formed, it provides amazing detail and strength in the final part. As a critical part of our design, we incorporated several zones of "AIR POCKETS" to the guard in key impact prone areas. The first area is behind the shift lever. We have included an ABS "Sticker" for this area for a couple years now to minimize damage from the shift lever in a tip over. The second are is over the timing inspection ports. The third area is on top of the middle section and the fourth area is in the front of the Stator Cover where we also provide additional impact protection with our Carapace "Turtle Shell" logo. These "Air Pockets" absorb the initial impact and spread the load out while deforming before they rebound out. This offers a significant reduction in forces being transmitted to the Stator Cover and your engine. 

To complement this advanced design we designed and manufacture our own Custom Stainless Steel Shoulder Washers which allow proper torque (10 N-M) on the original 30mm x 6mm x 1.00mm bolts and prevent deformation of the HDPE plastic of your new CSG when installed. 

Of course, this works with the OEM Sprocket cover or better yet, our Sandman Parts line of Case Saver and Sprocket Guards.
