Teacher Grant Application
The SDHS PTSA budget allows for teacher grants to support the educational opportunities of SDHS students. A grant can supplement and enrich an instructional program, a classroom, subject or grade level project, the entire student body and/or the school itself.
Grant Evaluation Criteria
The application should provide adequate detail to easily evaluate and understand the purpose and impact of the grant on the education of SDHS students. Please consider the following criteria in preparing your application:
Funding amount is determined by the purpose and impact of the project.
Subject or grade level projects may have a higher impact and are preferred.
Grants that provide a new or creative solution to a problem are encouraged.
Application Process
Complete this form and provide supporting documentation, if applicable.
Grant applications will be reviewed and determined by the PTSA executive board at the next regularly scheduled meeting (first Wednesday monthly). Reviews may be completed sooner if there is a tight timeline for the project.
Application deadlines are the Friday before the next scheduled executive board monthly meeting.
You will be contacted if any additional information is needed and a determination will be provided via email following a vote by the Board.
The grant will be announced at the next General Association meeting and the expense reconciled.
Please note that PTSA membership is required to receive a teacher grant. If you have questions about the Grant process, email sandiegohs.ptsa@gmail.com.
