"Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution. It is, strictly speaking, a real factor in scientific research.".
Albert Einstein
Mass diffusion phenomena verified in fractal media. Through the combination of the Percolation Theory and Dual Site Bond Model of Porous Media, I simulate fractal media with different fractal characteristics such as fractal dimension, lacunarity and spectral dimension. I study both in equilibrium (gas adsorption and percolation) and out of equilibrium (enzyme kinetics and drug liberation from matrix systems) processes implementing coarse grained Monte Carlo simulations.
Very recently I have developed educational methods for a unique course: "Physics of the Water Ascent in Vascular Plants". This is done in collaboration with the Biology Department.
