Research Technician Fellow (Postdoctoral Researcher)
Data61, CSIRO, Melbourn, Australia.
Feb 2024 – Present
Main Responsibilities:
We engaged in the development of advanced technology for detecting function-level vulnerabilities, leveraging innovative approaches.
Actively curating a comprehensive vulnerability dataset by extracting insights from diverse ecosystems’ schemas and commits.
Research Fellow (Postdoctoral Researcher)
Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga, NSW
Dec 2022 – Feb 2024
Main Responsibilities:
We developed a metadata-based malicious and benign package detection model for the NPM repository.
We introduced two sets of features, easy to manipulate (ETM) and difficult to manipulate (DTM), where manipulating DTM depends on long-term planning and monotonic properties. Then, we verify our feature selection effectiveness based on four well-known machine learning and one deep learning technique.
We also analysed algorithms’ performance using metadata manipulation and recommend better meta- data adversarial attack-resistant algorithms.
Experiment analysis shows that our proposed model reduces 97.56% False Positive and 80.35 % False Negative number.
Research Assistant
RMIT University & Acciona GeoTech, Melbourne
Sep 2022 – Dec 2022
Main Responsibilities:
Monitoring Employee data: Create a data pipeline architecture to collect and transform the data into a machine-readable format. This will involve data cleaning, feature engineering, missing data handling, exploratory data analysis and correlations study.
Develop Cost of attrition modeling: We will develop a model to evaluate an employee cost of attrition, which includes both tangible and intangible costs associated with replacing an employee.
