Dr. Sajal Halder is working as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow at Data61, CSIRO, Australia. Before that he was Research Fellow, Charles Sturt Univesity, Wagga Wagga, NSW, Austrlaia and was a Research Assistant at RMIT University & Acciona GeoTeach, Australia. He also served as a Research Worker at CQ University, Melbourne, Australia. He completed his PhD in Computer Science at RMIT University, Australia in 2022. He has been appointed as an Assistant Professor (On Study Leave) in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Jagannath University, Bangladesh since August 2017. He was a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Jagannath University from July 2016 to August 2017. Prior to joining Jagannath University in 2016, he was a faculty member in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University, Gopalganj from October 2013 to July 2016. He was also a faculty member at Dhaka International University (DIU) from April to August 2011 and a software developer of the Neighbor System Ltd, South Korea between 2011 and 2013.
Dr. Halder completed Master of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from Kyung Hee University, South Korea in 2013 and B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2010
Dr. Halder research interest is Supply Chain Security using Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Personalized Itinerary Recommendation Systems, Attrition Analysis and Real Life Big Data Analysis. Dr. Halder has a good track record of publishing data mining, machine learning and deep learning-related articles in leading computer science journals such as Applied Soft Computing (Q1, IF: 7.2), Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery (Q1, IF:5.406), Knowledge and Information Systems (Q1, IF: 2.822), Expert System with Applications (Q1, IF: 6.954), Multimedia Tools and Applications (Q1, IF: 2.757), Cybersecurity (Q1, IF:6.27), Computer Journal (Q2, IF: 0.755) and International Journal of Advanced Computer Science and Applications (Q3, IF: 1.092). Besides these, he published 15 conferences paper including The Web Conference - 2024 (A* Ranked), PAKDD-2021 (A Ranked), GUCON-2018, IC4ME2-2018, IEMIS-2018, ICCIT-2017, ICAEE-2017, ICIVPR-2017, IWCI 2016, ICIEV-2016, ICCIT-2014, CGC-2012, ICECE-2012.
