2019 Knights of Columbus Sponsored Activities

The Knights sponsored several events in the past months raising funds for the updating of the heating system.

January 20th Parish Breakfast raised $1600.

February 9th Valentine Dance raised $1 000.

February 15th Fish Fry raised $1 100.

Irish Night

The annual parish Irish Night sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Council 6217 was held on March 9th. Music was provided by Lorne Daley and the Ricochet Band. A total of $1600 was raised for the Church heating system update.

June 6th BBQ

The annual BBQ went over very well with everyone cooking their steaks to perfection. Our C.W.L. provided desserts to everyone's delight. Funds raised will be used to reduce the loan for the Basement Renovations.

Mothers' Day Breakfast

The breakfast was well attended, with Mothers receiving a carnation. Lots of compliments for a hearty breakfast. Donations will be used for the Basement Renovations.

Irish Night

This annual event was coordinated by John Brennan and took place on March 10th. Music was provided by the Lorne Daly Band (Rick O'Shea). Again this year the light lunch was Smoked Meat sandwiches. Funds raised will again go to pay for the renovations the Knights did to the Church Hall.

40 Cans For Lent

This initiative started on Ash Wednesday Feb. 14th and is being coordinated by Rick Crane. The Church family donated 2000 pounds to Famsac and 2000 pounds to Waupoos Farm last year.

Fish Fry

This event was held on Feb. 16th. The cook served up New Zealand Cod and fries to everyone's delight. It was a great turnout to our first event with over 160 people participating.

Basketball Freethrow

This event took place at St. Paul High School during the weekends of Feb. 10th and 24th. The knights took over the organizing and running of this event involving over 200 students!

Valentine Dance

The dance held on Feb. 9th was a success as more than 150 people attended. The dance raised money in memory of Nick Hickey who was killed. The band Snap, Crackle and Pop provided 50 and 60's Rock & Roll music and kept the dance floor filled all night!

Knights of Columbus Golf Tournament

Congratulations to the St. Martin de Porres Knights of Columbus on another successful golf tournament on June 19th. A cheque for $5 000.00 was given to the Queensway Carleton Hospital.

Knights of Columbus Donation Breakfast

Thanks to all parishioners who supported our breakfast. A total of $3 500.00 was raised for renovations to the Parish Hall washrooms.

A Ladies' and Gentlemen's Spring Tea

All seniors are invited on Wed. May 17th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. to the C.W.L. Spring Tea.

C.W.L. Valentine Pie and Bake Sale Fundraiser

Thanks to all who supported our recent fundraiser. A total of $1 959.59 was raised.

Parish Hall Improvement

Our parish hall has a new look after a new coat of paint and the installation of new baseboards. Thanks is extended to members of the Knights and volunteers who donated their time and talent.

Knights of Columbus Parish Breakfast

Once again thanks to all who supported our annual parish breakfast. A total of $1 386.60 was raised for our parish hall washroom renovations project.

Parish Roast Beef Dinner 2016

Thanks to all who participated and helped out. A total of $2 253.00 was raised and will be put towards Parish basement upgrades.

Knights of Columbus Steak BBQ

With the support of parishioners this event raised $2019.00 for much needed renovations to the parish hall.

Knights of Columbus Irish Night

The Knights wish to thank all who participated. A total of $2527.17 was raised for renovations for the parish hall.

Annual Fall Harvest Roast Beef Buffet 2015

The Knights raised $2 300.00 with the assistance of the community who enjoyed this special buffet!

Coffee Sundays

Every 3rd Sunday of the month between the 9:00 and 11:00 o'clock masses. Everyone is invited to join us.
