*There are THREE stallions with the same name in the studbook, using different spellings--Beshir/Bisheir/Bishir/ Basheir/Bashir, etc. The Inshass Stud had two chestnut stallions named "Besheer" foaled in 1935 and 1936 respectively that are probably the sire of Mahmouda INS. Besheir INS was born 3/27/36, El Zafir INS out of Thouraya INS. Besheir El Ashkar INS was born 3/26/35 and received as a gift on 3/26/48. Throughout time, the stud books have shown both stallions as the sire of Mahmouda INS. Both stallions are considered acceptable and their foals would be Al Khamsa eligible. However, the ancestoral elements would be affected, depending upon which really was the sire.
