Note: A camp co-ordinator does not have to do it all alone, two families can act as joint co-ordinators and spread the load.
CAMP CO-ORDINATOR'S CHECKLIST
Prior to the camp:
Liaise with Treasurer to confirm number of people camping (including number of children) to plan activities

Visit campsite website to understand available facilities, entertainment and general layout
c
Obtain the following from the previous camp’s rally marshal:

Plan and purchase any required items for planned activities
c
Communicate planned activities to Treasurer prior to the camp in case any communication needs to be sent to the campers
c
Prepare camp programme to be printed on an A4 for display on the camp notice board.
c
When arriving at the camp:
Set up the two club flags – one where visible when arriving at the campsite and one by the camp co-ordinator's site.
c
Set out the club fire extinguisher
c
Set up the club notice board
c
Optional: Communicate any pertinent info with club on WhatsApp group
c
Optional: In the late afternoon – get communal braai going
c
During the camp:
Note any misdemeanorsfor fine time
c
If there are any problems, assists or gets help, as appropriate
c
Facilitate planned activities as per programme
c
Final day - Provide Chairman with list of misdemeanors for fine time during chairman’s chat.
c
After the camp:
Compile rally report and send to club secretary
NOTE: Misdemeanors are a "fun" activity. All money collected from these misdemeanors are donated to a charity of the sections choice.
