Welcome to the official homepage of the Nanoelectronics Research Group at IIT Ropar.
We are housed in the Electrical Engineering department of IIT Ropar. Our outstanding workforce consists of highly motivated graduate and undergraduate students and visiting interns. Our research is supported by Department of Science and Technology (DST), Global Innovation and Technology Alliance (DST-GITA), Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY), IC-IMPACTS, Canada, Semi-Conductor Lab (SCL) and several semiconductor industries. Through our research, we are trying to address some of the fundamental issues in frontiers areas of electronics and integrated circuit design and packaging. In particular, key research topics include:
Modeling and design of High-speed On-Chip and Chip-to-Chip interconnects
Electrical-Thermal co-design of electronic packages and microsystems
Application of Machine Learning in design and analysis of interconnects
Design and optimization of Graphene-based and 2D materials-based nano-interconnects
Design and optimization of nanoscale GNRs for on-chip interconnect applications
Addressing conductor surface roughness in high-speed chip-to-chip interconnect
