About Me

I am beginning my 17th year as a teacher, 3 years in Gillette Wyoming, 8 years in Mohave Valley Arizona and now 6 years in Syracuse New York. I look forward to teaching every year and love what I do! For me teaching is a job that I take very serious and I treat the students I work with like family. I want the same things for my students as I want for my kids, and that is to be strong and confident as well as to be an independent thinker who is skeptical and curious about the world around them. I have two beautiful children, two dogs, and an incredible spouse. When you are on the third floor and you hear some guy talking really loudly and carrying on you can be rest assured that I'm not yelling, rather I am showing my excitement about something that I am teaching. I love sports, science, history, and being with my family. I have been employed as a teacher, a pool director, a coach, and a stunt diver. I have traveled to 6 different countries and have been to 26 of the fifty states. I currently coach girls volleyball, but my true sport is swimming and diving.
