Workshop on Robotics in Virtual Reality (RVR) is a half-day workshop that aims to provide a forum for researchers to discuss high-quality research on virtual reality and robotics -two technological research areas that have gained a significant amount of attraction recently. The field of virtual reality has been making a rapid progress in the previous years. Availability of many affordable headsets made virtual reality available to many potential users, and this led to various novel uses of virtual reality in different domains. Robotics offers many possibilities in virtual reality, such as providing realistic controlling mechanisms or providing the sense of telepresence via virtual robots. From entertainment games to training applications, robotics in virtual reality offers many promising possibilities that are applicable to real-life situations, such as enabling a person with disabilities to control a robot for fulfilling job-related tasks. In the RVR workshop, researchers will present their own work, have the opportunity to get feedback and learn from other researchers, and participate in an active discussion about the recent advancements in virtual reality and robotics with a subset of active researchers and experts in this area.
