Wildwood End to End
Introduction
A staple of many ultramarathoners preparation, for extra goodness try it at night with a friend. Wildwood Trail is the longest trail within a city in the USA.
Forest Park Conservancy data now show full length as 30.19 miles. Will update after the bridge is in as that will change the distances again slightly. (2023-still need to update this).
When To Do This Run
All season except for ice.
Description
The map below shows the route for the run. The start is at the either near the Forestry Center or Newberry. Many now do this by meeting at Newberry and carpooling to the Forestry Center parking so that only 1 car has to pay parking, then run to Newberry. It's a bit more challenging to run the other direction so that you can finish with the hilly sections the last 6 miles from Stone House, up to Pittock Mansion, then another climb up to Washington Park.
