Please explore the information below to learn more about a few of our reoccurring social events. The Desert Doves are committed to fostering a sense of community here in Tucson. Our community events are open to all: community members, RPCVs, Coverdell Fellows, students, partners, friends, family, (anyone!). All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

GENERAL MEMBER MEETING

The next General Member Meeting is Saturday, 9/19.

DOVES DINE

The next Doves Dine is Saturday, 8/15 at 6pm at Opas (4590 E Broadway Blvd).

FIRST FRIDAYS HAPPY HOUR

1st Friday of every month at 6:00 PM. The next happy hour is at Zerai's on 8/5.

INTERNATIONAL MOVIE NIGHT

On Saturday, 7/25 at 7:00 PM, we have a Spielberg Double Feature at Brennen and Karen's (7612 E. Lee St). In honor of our nation's birthday, we will be showing not one but TWO classic American films by Arizona’s own Steven Spielberg. The evening will begin with a screening of JAWS. Bring a bathing suit to watch from the pool for the true Jaws experience. We’ll close out the night with the beloved alien sci-fi flick Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Event is BYOB but feel free to bring a snack to share!

VOLLEYBALL MEET-UP

Join fellow RPCVs and friends on Saturday mornings for a weekly volleyball meetup at Anza Park. Start time varies with the weather. Call or text Chris (815-529-2780) to confirm before attending.
