Beginning in May 2016, her colleagues at the UW Department of Architecture & beyond will join in celebrations of Dr. Sharon Egretta Sutton, as she prepares to return to New York City to pursue her emerging work on race and architecture.Festivities will include
*May 16-June 3 A Retrospective of Scholarly & Creative Work: An exhibit of Dr. Sutton's work at Gould Gallery
*May 25 5-7pm Reception & Panel (invitees/tentative): Robert A. King, Steven R. Lewis, Jack Travis at Gould Pavilion
The series will continue with a reading from her forthcoming book, When Ivory Towers were Black: A Story about Race and the Struggle to Transform America's Cities and Universities, followed by a conversation with colleagues including current/former students (date/details forthcoming).
