MESSAGE FROM THE BURGESS (11/20/2017)

Hi Folks,

Did you know that you need a zoning certificate from Rosemont before you can get a Frederick County building permit?  If you are planning to add solar panels, build a garage, or any other project that requires a Frederick County building permit, you must contact me before you go to Frederick.  It only takes about 10 minutes, and there is no charge for the zoning certificate.  Give me a call and set up an appointment to stop by my house.  All you need is a copy of your plans.

  • Message from the Burgess (Summer 2017) I want to wish everyone a happy and healthy summer. At the last meeting, the budget for next year was approved.  The only change from last year was to add more speed enforcement hours.  Last year we had 50 4-hour patrols for speed enforcement, next year we will have 75 4-hour patrols.  I have also asked the Sheriff’s Department to enforce the "No Trucks" on Petersville Road.  The State Highway Department did a survey of speed on Petersville Road, and it showed that most of the speeding was taking place between noon and 4 PM.  They are going to add some more patrols during that time period.Unless some unexpected agenda items come up, the July meeting ...

  • Archived Newsflash (11/21/16) INCOMING FUNDS (Nov 21):  You may have seen in the Frederick News Post that Frederick County owes the State of Maryland money from a mistake in the distribution of income taxes. Well, the good news is Maryland owes Rosemont $10,000.  We got a call from the Comptroller’s office saying the money is on the way.
