Convolution with Speech
When the speaker at the right position
In the last section we convolved the anechoic speech with the impulse responses (from Room capture) with the matlab code you can find in the left menu.
When the position at the left position
We have 2 positions for the loudspeaker. One on the right side and the other on the left side. At each microphone position we can easily hear the reflections when the loudspeaker is at the left position because of the proximity of the rigid wall. When the loudspeaker is at the left position, the reflection is much more important than when it is at the right position. There the wall is covered with perforated bricks so that the incoming sound is absorbed. The sounds that we hear also change for different microphone positions as the paths of direct and reflected sound change. But we can say that the measurements correspond to what we hear in reality. The variation of the perceived sound was mentioned in the previous chapter.
