Location

Our home is in Saint Ronans Avenue, Waterloo, Lower Hutt. An older established tree lined suburb on the flat of the valley floor. Central to everything the Hutt has to offer.

Centrally located for those studying in the area. 5 minute walk to the Open Polytech, 8 minutes to the train for those going to Weltec CBD, or catching the Learning Connexion bus. Bus at the corner to go to Lower Hutt and on to Weltec Petone campuses. If you are studying at the Glass & Glazing institute at Plimmerton we are still handy to the train to travel over while enjoying home comforts with us.

Getting here

From Wellington City you can catch the #83 Eastbourne bus to Queensgate mall in the centre of Lower Hutt city. From there you can catch the 160/170 bus to Waterloo station then walk the short distance to our home, or text for us to meet you when you get off the bus.

From the Airport, catch the Airport Express bus to Wellington Railway Station, then catch the Upper Hutt train.

By train catch the Upper Hutt train from Wellington and get off at Waterloo station, go into the subway and walk under the tracks to come up and follow the Waterloo shops exit, then walk along past the Lotto and Four Square shops , across the intersection then our home is three houses from the corner.

Those arriving by car - take the Melling lights exit from SH2 and follow the signs (white directional) to Waterloo. When you approach the rail bridge continue over and straight ahead to the roundabout and turn right into Waiwhetu Rd. St Ronans is second on the left.

There are maps, train and bus timetables available for you to use and your host is happy to assist you find your way around, or suggest places to visit, shop or dine.

Lower Hutt is centrally situated, just a short drive from Wellington, Upper Hutt, the Kapiti Coast and the Wairarapa.

A short 7 minute flat walk to Waterloo train station (on the Upper Hutt line) to connect with trains to Wellington or stations in the Valley. Or catch a bus from there to Lower Hutt city centre and connect with buses to Eastbourne and Petone beaches, other Lower Hutt suburbs and even Wellington.

There is a bus stop at the end of the street (no Sunday service) that goes through the city centre then on to Lower Hutt and Boulcott hospitals.

Or enjoy walking on some of the many walking trails that are in the area.
