Facilities

When you stay with us you are sharing our home. It is a 1930s villa that we have restored to its former glory, but included modern touches as well. A thermostat controlled gas central heating system keeps us warm and toasty when Wellington is not at her best. If you get home before us, just turn it on and you are warm in a few minutes.

The large main bathroom supplied with instant gas heated hot water (no fear of cold showers if you're last up, even indulge in a long soak in the bath) that has twin basins, large bath, walk in shower and toilet.

A smaller guest bathroom has toilet and wash basin.

We supply bathrobes & hair dryers for your use while you are here. Fresh towels daily if you choose, or hang and dry to use yours again if you prefer.

Guests have drinking water and glasses in each room, or you can make tea or coffee in the kitchen at any time.

You have the option of a continental breakfast for you each day for $5 per person. Gluten and dairy free options are available - please advise us when you book. If you would like to share an evening meal with us you are most welcome - just let us know in advance. (a small fee applies to cover costs) Those staying with us for a block course get breakfast & dinner as part of their daily rate.

There's a comfy chair in each room if you prefer to relax in your own space. Both rooms have their own TV and SKY (satellite TV) decoder for your enjoyment or you are invited to join your hosts in the lounge to chat and watch TV at night.

For those who want to stay connected there is free use of our WiFi internet connection. Each room has a bedside charging board with USB ports for direct charging of your mobile devices as well as sockets for other device chargers.

Our covered rear deck enjoys all day sun and is a lovely place to enjoy a lazy breakfast in the mornings with the newspaper, or to relax with a wine (or coffee) at the end of your day's adventures.

Should you need to do any laundry the covered deck clothesline will have clothes dry in a day with no fear of getting caught out by unexpected rain.

Travelling with a family - no worries. Our home is child friendly as we have grandchildren who visit regularly. Selection of books and toys on hand to catch the interest of your young ones. The covered deck is a great place to let off some energy, even on a rainy day - the table makes a great circuit on the ride on swing car! We have a portacot and bedding, and a highchair available for your use if you don't want to bring your own.
