October 1998 to May, 2004:  Community Builder, US Department of Housing and Urban Development

1996-1998 Chief Executive Officer, Catholic Charities, Diocese of Fresno.  Planned and organized new projects: Including Caring Communities Project funded by The California Endowment. Organized comprehensive approach to meeting impact of welfare reform and immigration policies in the Central Valley through faith-based organizations.

1988-1995:  Executive Director: Greater Cleveland Neighborhood Centers Association.  Coordinated, raised and managed funds, and led strategic and urban planning for 26-neighborhood community development and service organization.

1984-1988:  Diocesan Director of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Honolulu, Hawaii.  Lead agency in the strategic planning, restructuring, and managing of the agency to achieve greater effectiveness in local communities.

1979-1984:  Executive Director, Health and Community Services Council of Hawaii, a community planning agency of United Way, foundations, health organizations and voluntary agencies.   Led in organizing, developing, and incubating new programs and agencies to meet health and community service needs throughout the State of Hawaii. 

Lead organizer and staff director with the Industrial Areas Foundation for the Santa Clara Valley Coalition, a broad based citizen action organization consisting of over one hundred neighborhood, church, labor, and service organizations working on health and social issues in Santa Clara County.   Organizer and staff for community organizations in low-income areas of Chicago (Contract Buyers League, Midway Organization) and Toronto (Greater Riverdale Organization), sponsored primarily by churches.
