The numbers of engineers and geologists registering suggests that by the early summer of 2019 we could see the RoGEP Register with over 600 registrants from the ground engineering profession.
The current split of registrants is about 25% Advisers, 10% Specialists and 65% Professional and is becoming much better balanced. We would like to see more Specialists moving up to the Adviser level and in the next year or so as well as Professionals applying to become Specialists.
The Register has now been expanded to bring in ground engineering professionals at the new Practitioner and Technician levels and applications are now being assessed. The expansion of the RoGEP Register will enhance the overall ground engineering industry.
You can apply to join the RoGEP if you're professionally qualified (EngTech/IEng/CEng/CGeol) with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IoM3), the Geological Society London (GSL), Engineers Ireland (EI), or the Irish Geological Society.
We are also pleased to announce that we now accepting applications from Incorporated Engineers and Technicians for the new Practitioner and Technician levels of RoGEP Registration. Thus, there are now five grades of RoGEP Registrant:
