On this website, you will find some collections of basic electronics building blocks, that can be used to build circuits, and you will find some electronics tutorials as well (Articles).
I also added some complete electronics projects (Projects), some combined with artwork (Where electronics meets art) created by my wife Mieke (glass mosaic, Tiffany).
Professionally I'm a hardware designer and embedded software engineer, designing hardware, making PCB layouts and developing firmware for microcontrollers. I also love to do mechanical design for 3D-printing, and I have experience with optical systems.
In my free time, I often find myself designing analog circuits and basically continue learning about other area's of electronics and technical stuff in general. I also love to fly RC model airplanes and experiment with building and flying 3D printed RC airplanes. Writing, music, art, astronomy also have my interest. I don't have time to get bored. :-)
The main goal of this site is to pass some knowledge and experience that I gathered over time. I try to explain how circuits work in a practical way without going deep into mathematics. My motto is: “If you can't explain it in simple words, you probably didn't understand it fully”.
