On October 13th, 2011, Nicola Andriolli will give a seminar at MCGill University, Montreal, Quebec on "Architectures and scheduling for multi-plane optical interconnection networks". The talk will survey the results obtained so far within RODIN project, focusing on energy-efficient optical packet-switched interconnection networks, presenting several multi-plane interconnection network architectures and a scalable scheduling framework suitable for these architectures. Finally several optical space switching fabrics for multi-plane architectures will be compared in terms of scalability and energy efficiency.
