About Us
Rock Creek Landing is so special because of the people that make up the neighborhood. They look out for each other and the welfare of the community.
Back in 1969 the founder of this development, Mr. Fred Allen, had the foresight to make it a deed restricted community to guarantee that the homes within this neighborhood would be site-built and utilize the most current building materials. He also brought county water to the development when other neighborhoods had to use cistern water. The neighborhood still works together through the neighborhood association to follow and enforce our restrictions for the benefit of all.
In January 2009 we had a historic ice storm which paralyzed our community. For several days we lost electricity, communication, and water but that did not stop the neighbors from working together to ensure everyone was taken care of. Neighbors shared food with those that needed it, they helped wire generators, they cleaned out refrigerators, and they cut through downed trees to open roadways for those that needed to get out.
Rock Creek Landing neighbors actively practices a neighborhood crime prevention program and works together for the benefit of the neighborhood.
